On June 13, 2025, over 300 volunteers came together for CAI-Illinois’ Service Day in partnership with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), turning an ordinary Friday into a powerful expression of community spirit and global impact. Held on International Community Association Managers Day, the event celebrated those who keep our communities thriving while expanding their care far beyond property lines. Volunteers—including managers, vendors, families, and children—worked side by side to pack 49,680 meals, enough to feed 136 children for an entire year. From labeling and bagging to cheering each other on, the day was filled with energy, compassion, and connection.

Service Day wasn’t just about the numbers (though they were impressive); it was a reminder that when communities come together with purpose, real change happens. The meals packed will reach children in crisis through FMSC’s global network, delivering not only nutrition but also hope. Planning is already underway for Service Day 2026, with CAI-Illinois ready
