The 2025 CAI-Illinois Food and Paper Goods Drive was a resounding success, surpassing all expectations and delivering over 20,000 meals to families in need across the region. Led by the Community Relations Committee and Golf Committee, and proudly sponsored by Celtic Restoration Group and Itasca Bank, this year’s drive collected 12 boxes of donated goods and raised $2,400 in monetary contributions—more than tripling the original goal of 7,000 meals. The event not only highlighted the generosity of CAI-Illinois members and partners but also benefited three impactful local organizations: the Township of Schaumburg Welfare Services, Housing Forward, and West Suburban Community Pantry.
This annual initiative combined friendly competition, community spirit, and a powerful cause, with sponsors and volunteers collecting donations, sharing QR codes, and rallying support leading up to the CAI Golf Outing. At the event, final tallies and top contributors were announced, but more importantly, attendees celebrated the tangible impact these efforts will have on fighting food insecurity and supporting housing stability. Planning is already underway for next year’s drive, promising another opportunity to make a difference.
