Matthew O'Malley is an attorney with Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit (KSN). He concentrates his practice on the representation of condominiums and Common Interest Community Associations (townhome, homeowners).

Matthew has been a practicing attorney since 2014. He has defended contractors against claims of construction liability and corporations against product liability, wrongful death, commercial litigation, premises liability and catastrophic personal injury litigation in both state and federal courts.

During his time as an Assistant Attorney General for the Illinois Attorney General’s Office (2014-2015), Matthew brought four federal jury trials to successful verdicts in his defense of the state of Illinois in civil claims.

Matthew received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a graduate of the University of the Illinois College of Law. While earning his Juris Doctor, was a member of the Moot Court and Corporate and Business Law Association. Matthew also worked at the University of Illinois Family Advocacy Clinic where he provided pro bono representation for minors involved in abuse and neglect proceedings.
