coronavirus memo

Good Afternoon,

CAI-Illinois’ staff and leadership are monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the region.

Our first and upmost important focus is the health and well-being of our chapter members. We encourage our members and the community associations industry in general to follow the latest guidance and updates issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In accordance with the guidance from CDC to practice social distancing and avoid large gatherings to avoid exposure to COVID-19, we are making some temporary changes to chapter programs and meetings:

Committee Meetings: Effective immediately, all chapter committee meetings will be held via video or conference call until further notice. The chapter staff liaison will be in touch to provide the conference call number before your committee meeting date.

Programs and Events: All chapter events scheduled through April 20, 2020 are postponed, including the Legal Forum. Chapter staff is working with our venues, speakers and sponsors to find new dates in 2020. Once the new dates are determined, we will notify all pre-registered attendees and update the chapter website and social media channels. Attendee registrations will transfer to the re-scheduled date and if an attendee has a conflict with that date, we will issue a refund.

Chapter Office Operations: The chapter staff is working in the office in a normal manner. The office is open for members if you need to come for business or small meeting.

As the health situation evolves, we will evaluate future events and will update our members as needed.

CAI National has developed a Coronavirus Resources page ( click here to view ) . The page will be updated as the situation evolves.

We understand that you want to network and share with other chapter members. Please join our Facebook page (click here) and our LinkedIn page (click here) to use social media networking to continue relationship building.

Thank you for your understanding and your support of the community associations industry. If you have any questions, please reach out to me at [email protected].

Sincerely,
