CAI-Illinois members recently volunteered at the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Job Fair, sponsored by Home of the Sparrow, a nonprofit organization providing housing programs and supportive services to women and children.
Representing CAI-Illinois were Community Relations Committee Co-Chair Paul Ochmanek, Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit, and Business Partner Council members Kathy Kahl, Alliant Insurance Services; Cindy Fitts, CISA Insurance; and Sheila Malchiodi, Associa Chicagoland.
Volunteers worked one-on-one with job seekers to review and edit resumes, practice interview skills, discussed how to present their experience and strengths, and provide encouragement and practical guidance as they prepared for employment opportunities.
The experience was a meaningful opportunity for CAI-Illinois members to share their professional knowledge while supporting individuals working toward greater confidence and meaningful employment.
