President: Peter J. Santangelo, CMCA: Peter Santangelo, CMCA, currently serves as the Vice President of COMMUNITY ADVANTAGE of Barrington Bank & Trust Company, N.A., and is responsible for business development and portfolio management for condominium, homeowner and townhome association clients throughout Illinois. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Elmhurst College, a BAI Installment Lending Degree from Bradley University and an Associate Degree in Business from William Rainey Harper. Mr. Santangelo is a past member of the Homebuilders of Greater Chicago Association and is a current member of the Association of Condominium, Townhouse & Homeowners Assocations (ACTHA); and Apartment Building Owners and Managers Association (ABOMA).
Treasurer: Boyd Briscoe: Boyd Briscoe is a retired financial executive and is a twelve-year resident in a self-managed townhouse homeowner association in Naperville, IL. He is also past president of the Naperville Area Homeowner Confederation, an umbrella organization of over 140 individual community associations in Naperville. Boyd represents homeowners on the CAI Board of Directors.
Secretary: Karen Skoric, CPA: Karen Skoric is a CPA working for the accounting firm Mark Cantey Associates. Karen has been in the Association Industry for over eleven years providing auditing and accounting services to over 500 Associations. She currently serves on the membership committee.

Michaelene Conrad: Over the last twenty years Michaelene has been in the property management field. Due to her background of service and sales has been a good fit. For the first nine years Michaelene worked as a property manager for several companies. Her time with these companies brought her enough experience and insight to operate her own business for the pass 11 years. Her company, MC Property Management Corp., manages over sixty Associations consisting of 5,000 units encompasses condominiums, townhomes, homeowner associations and rental properties. These properties are located in the suburbs and the city.
Michaelene earned her MIRM and CMCA designation and she is a member of CAI and ACTHA Associations. Michaelene has been a member of the tradeshow committee for multiple years and been a speaker for CAI.
William C. DeMille, PCAM: of Chicagoland Management & Realty. He serves on the Membership Committee, the Nominating and Awards Committee, the PR Committee, ILAC, and also leads the Managers Forum for CAI.
Erica Horndasch, CMCA, AMS: Industry Experience: 14 years Education: Harper College
Erica Horndasch has been active in Property and Community Management since the age of fifteen. Growing up in the industry, she has benefited from several real life situations that has awarded her the opportunity to share with the client and guide them in the right direction. She has a passion for management and looks at each day as a new challenge and an opportunity to enhance her customer service skills. Erica’s career path has afforded her the opportunity to work with several local management companies and has also given her the opportunity to work with an association law firm as a paralegal and collection manager. Erica was named the 2006 “Property Manager of the Year” by CAI. Erica is active in various organizations such as the Association of Condominium Townhomes & Homeowners Associations (ACTHA), MCD Media and serves on the local chapters Board of Directors for Community Association Institute (CAI) as well as serves on the trade show committee within CAI. Erica is a past President of a 364 unit HOA having experience not only as a manager, but as a Board member. Erica holds the designation of Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and Association Management Specialist (AMS) and continues her education in Association management.
Don Kekstadt, AMS, PCAM: Senior Vice President Property Management for Lieberman Management Services, Inc.. Mr. Kekstadt has eighteen years of property management and maintenance experience. He is responsible for the overall management of approximately $3 billion dollars worth of real estate in the Chicagoland marketplace representing over 180+ Associations, while being responsible for the retention and acquisition of new and existing clients. He also has a staff of over 30 Property Managers, 4 Regional Directors and a staff of 10 Resident Service Agents. Don is also a member of the LMS Executive Committee.
His previous work experience includes the position of Director of Maintenance at Arlington International Racecourse. Don has earned both the prestigious PCAM and AMS designations form the Community Associations Institute and owned and operated his own management company.
Diana R. Larson, AMS, PCAM: Beginning her banking career in April of 2005, as a member of the Homeowner Association Banking Group of Harris N.A., Diana Larson has approximately 18 years of experience, expertise and knowledge of the community association industry.
Starting out in the industry as a Board President of a relatively small town home association, she entered the property management industry as an administrative assistant, moving into the role of Property Manager, managing a portfolio of up to 15 community associations in the suburban areas. During her tenure as a Manager, Diana successfully completed courses within the Professional Management Development Program (PMDP), i.e., M-100, M-200 series, M-300 series & 2-day Case Study offered through CAI (Community Association Institute). She has earned & achieved the recognized designations of AMS (Association Management Specialists) & PCAM (Professional Community Association Manager), the highest designation possible within the industry.
Promoted to Assistant Vice President of the Homeowners Association Banking Group in 2007, Diana was elected to the CAI-Illinois Board of Directors in January 2008. She received the Rising Star Award from the CAI-Illinois Chapter in 2004 & 2007; is the current Chairperson for the Directory Committee, Co-Chairperson of the Common Interest Radio Committee, and is an active member of the Community Development Committee for the CAI-Illinois Chapter.
Kim Merrigan, CMCA, AMS, PCAM: Kim has been in property management since 1988. For the past 11 years she has been employed by Vanguard Community Management, an Associa Member Company, Schaumburg, Illinois. Currently holding the position of Vice President, Kim trains managers, oversees administrative staff, and markets new accounts. In 2004 Kim was named an inaugural member to the “Ambassador Circle” an exclusive recognition program for Community Managers of Associa Member companies, recognizing outstanding leadership and dedication. As the Education Coordinator for Vanguard, Kim is strong believer in continuing education. Kim successfully obtained her CMCA in 1997, her AMS in 2000 and her PCAM in 2004. Kim will continue her education during 2006 with the PMDP 300 series classes offered by the Community Association Institute. Kim has previously served the Illinois Chapter of the Community Association Institute as an active member of both the Social Committee and the Program Committee.
Steve Silberman:
Andrea M. Sorgani, President Elect: Owner and president of ALMA Property Management Services, Inc., in property management since 1976. BSW from SIU in Social Welfare and Sociology. Member of CAI since 1983. Andrea was the CAI Social Committee chair for 4 years and Public Relations Committee Chair one year. Andrea also served on the the Program Committee for 6 years and has served on the Homeowners Forum Committee 4 years. She has been a speaker and moderator for CAI educational programs. Graduate studies in social work.
Keith P. Weber: Keith Weber, Vice President of B. T. Lakeside Roofing, has been in the roofing business since 1984. He has been with B. T. Lakeside Roofing, Inc. since 1992! Keith earned his Associates Degree in Architecture from College of DuPage. He customized architectural drawings for different manufacturers, before moving into the contracting end of the roofing industry. Keith is an active participant with directors on boards and committees for the many associations in which Lakeside Roofing is involved. Keith served his first term as a director for the Community Associations Institute from 2001 - 2003. He has been and is active with other committees, serving 5 years on the Trade Show Committee, (2 years as Chair) 5 years with the CAI Directory Committee (3 years as Chair) also serving several years with the Home Owners Forum Committee and Golf Committee . He proudly looks forward to this term serving on the board and being involved in the continued growth this association and our ability to provide professionalism and character to the community associations here in Illinois.
